Dominik Mahr is Professor in Digital Innovation & Marketing at Maastricht University and the Scientific Director of the Service Science Factory, Maastricht, The Netherlands.

 

His research centers on recent marketing and innovation phenomena including online communities, digital marketing, social media, augmented reality, customer co-creation and mobile marketing, published in journals such as the Journal of Service Research, MIS Quarterly, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Research Policy, Journal of Retailing, BMJ Quality & Safety, Health Policy, and Journal of Service Management. He teaches courses related to innovation management, digital media, service design, strategic marketing, and services marketing at the bachelor, master, and executive level. 

 

Prior to his academic career, Dominik worked for several years in different management and marketing consultancies, operating in industries such as high tech, automotive, real estate, tourism, and insurance. He has retained close links with several leading high tech firms and industry associations in Europe and the US. Among other firms, he has worked with Microsoft, ING Bank, Nokia, Johnson & Johnson and IBM.
